Interior design tips for Summer 2018

Furniture is set to head to the dark side this year. We are stepping away from pale, bleached woods that were hugely popular. 2018 is the year where darker wood tones signify a rebirth for retro glamour and provide a new take on modern luxury. While this dark trend has been bubbling on the back burner for some time, this year it’s ready to take over completely.

Metallic handles are the perfect finishing touches to add an extra glam feel. And a fusion of walnut, chrome, black and marble will give you a more sophisticated feel to your high-street pieces.

How about going full on orange or just a small splash of squash for this summer? Orange does not have to be the main colour in a room to have impact. A family room, with conventional gray, cream and browns in furniture and flooring, will come alive with the addition of an orange cushions or occasional chairs reflecting the hue with the artwork.
